Anniversary Ideas

I am still working on ideas fo rour anniversary.

I know he would really like mats for the garage. The ones he wants are at Costco, so I will check them out today. I am thinking maybe I can see if I can write some romatic messages on them, maybe the underside so they won’t wear off.

I did find some more ideas on Lovingyou.com:
Cut a heart out of mozzerella cheese to top a favorite Italian dish.
I could take my heart shaped cookie cutter to our favorite pizza place and have them add a cheese heart on the top.

This one (following) was cool – I don’t think I will use it, unless I switched out roses for garage mats

Staircase of Roses
For my parents 14th anniversary my dad had no clue what to do for my mom. I got the idea of buying 14 roses for each year they were married. He bought the roses but didn’t know how to give them to her. We thought about it for like 2 hours. Finally, we had an idea! I told him to write a message on 14 pieces of paper. Then when he got done, we put the roses on each one of our stairs leading up to their room. By each rose was a message of past memories or reasons why he loved her. When she found them she was so surprised. She cried for a long time. It was so sweet!!!

The other thing I was thinking was using the "Two Lost Souls in a Fish Bowl" idea to make some art for our upstairs bathroom (which is decorated with fish). That way we will see it every day.

Since it is our third anniversary, maybe I can do something with the 3 song from Multiplication Rock:

Three is a Magic Number
Music & Lyrics: Bob Dorough
Sung by: Bob Dorough
Animation: Focus Design, Inc.

Three is a magic number.
Yes it is, it’s a magic number.
Somewhere in the ancient, mystic trinity
You get three as a magic number.
The past and the present and the future,
Faith and hope and charity,
The heart and the brain and the body
Give you three.
That’s a magic number.

It takes three legs to make a tri-pod or to make a table stand.
It takes three wheels to make a ve-hicle called a tricycle.
Every triangle has three corners,
Every triangle has three sides,
No more, no less.
You don’t have to guess.
When it’s three you can see it’s a magic number.

A man and a woman had a little baby.
Yes, they did.
They had three in the family.
That’s a magic number.

3, 6, 9… 12, 15, 18… 21, 24, 27… 30.
3, 6, 9… 12, 15, 18… 21, 24, 27… 30.
}} {Multiply backwards from three times ten.}
Three time ten is… }} 30
Three times nine is… }} 27
Three times eight is… }} 24
Three times seven is… }} 21
Three times six is 18, three times five is 15
Three times four is twelve
And three times three is nine and three times two is six.
And three times one is three of course.
}} {Now take the pattern once more.}
}} {Three!}
3, 6, 9.
}} {Twelve.}
12, 15, 18.
}} {Twenty-one.}
21, 24, 27… 30.
}} {Now multiply from 10 backwards.}
Three times ten is… }} 30
Three times nine is 27
Three times eight is… }} 24
Three times seven is… }} 21
Three times six is 18, three times five is 15,
Three times four is twelve
And three times three is nine and three times two is six.
And three times one… {What is it?}
}} {Three!}
{Yeah} That’s a magic number.

A man and a woman had a little baby.
Yes, they did.
They had three in the family.
That’s a magic number.

I have the DVD – Carl picked it out a month or two ago when we were DVD shopping. I also have the CD (Grandma Carol bought it for Carl). Anyone out there have ideas?

Maybe I could write out the first verse on the garage mats.

Here is another cool idea:

i don’t think there is time to have anything custom made. Maybe I could get three bottles of wine that Rich likes and make special labels for them.

The more I think about it, the more I like the three is a magic number song instead of the fish bowl song idea.

Another good site:
They have an idea  I really like: a letter in the bottle.
