Cookies and Beer cheese soup

I posted some scans of cookie recipes from my mother, grandmother and other family members.
 
I plan on trying this tonight:
 
Beer Cheese Soup
 
1 cup shedded carrots
1 medium onion
1 clove garlic
olive oil
 
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
2/3 cup flour
2 cup chicken stock
2 cup milk
 
1 teaspoon paprika
 
8 ounces grated cheddar
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1 bottle of beer
 
Saute vegetables until tender add mustard. stir in flour.Stir in Chicken stock and milk. Heat and add paprika. Stir in cheeses and blend. Add beer and simmer for 5 minutes.
