Ken Wright / Tyrus Evan Wines and an interesting blog

We went to a tasting of Ken Wright Cellars and Tyrus Evan wines.  It was over at Renaissance and Asa from Ken Wright was there. We tasted:

Ken Wright
– Pinot Blanc
– Chardonnay
– Pinot Noir (Cannary Hill) 2002

Tyrus Evans
– Cabernet Franc
– Claret
– Syrah 2003

Tyrus Evan is a new venture by Ken Wright.

I really like the Pinot Blanc and we both loved the Syrah.

We picked up a couple more bottles:

Glaetzer Wallace Shiraz Grenache 2003 – it was 22.50
Domaine de Cabusson Vin de Pays des Coteauz De Narbonne 2001 – this is a great under $10 wine
Domaine du Poujol Proteus 2003 – 14.50

A few weeks about we bought
White Cottage – Risa 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon (I think it was $30)

In trying to find a Tyrus Evan website, I found a fun wine blog:
They came to visit Oregon in June 2005. They also have some sangria recipes on the site.
