Cheddar/Beer cheese Dip

I found this recipe while searching for Cheddybrew – a cold pack cheddar that had a beer taste to it that. It used to be sold at Hickory Farms. I couldn’t find a listing for it, but I found this recipe.

Round Loaf Cheese Dip

  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 package cold pack cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 1 clove minced garlic

Mix all ingredients together and let stand at room temperature. Take a loaf of large round rye or pumpernickel bread. Tear out center leaving a thick shell of at least one inch. Pour dip into bread bowl. Serve with bread chunks, crackers, bagel chips or veggies.
